Response to COVID-19 By: Pamela Neuharth
Rio's response to COVID-19Dear Rio Members, Friends and Guests,
Rio Salado Rowing Club is suspending all Club activities, classes and programs in an effort to protect our community and slow the spread of the COVID19 virus, effective immediately. The issue will be re-assessed on April 4th.
Your Board of Directors met (virtually) March 18th and unanimously decided to suspend Rio’s programming in order to minimize risk and exposure for our members and to do our part in the community effort under way to mitigate the spread of COVID19.
Again, effective immediately, all scheduled classes and events are cancelled. Teamstuff, our practice schedule app, will reflect this change later today. Competitive Crew members may continue to use singles.
While we know times are tough for many of us, Rio still has fixed expenses that will not shut off during this period. If any of us are able to continue the regular monthly class payments, despite the shutdown, that would be a huge help in keeping Rio on its feet.
We will update the website after we re-assess the situation on April 4th.
If you have any questions, please direct them to me, or any Board member.
Thank you and stay healthy!
