National Learn to Row Day

With rowing clubs around the country, Rio Salado Rowing Club on Tempe Town Lake joins US Rowing in hosting a 2022 Learn-to-Row Day on Tempe Town Lake. For 30 years, Rio has been empowering adult rowers to discover the joys of rowing and advance their skills in a welcoming team environment. Join us for your own introduction to the sport on June 4 in our boathouse adjacent to historic Mill Bridge on Tempe Town Lake. We’ll tour the boatyard, learn about rowing boats and equipment, try out the indoor rowing machines and get a feel for the basics of the rowing stroke. Weather permitting, we’ll get everyone into boats and on the water for a brief first lesson.
